Elizabeth Burmaster is the State Superintendent
of Public Instruction. Ms. Burmaster was principal at Madison West High School for nearly a decade. She has
25 years of experience as a public school teacher and principal at every level – elementary,
middle, and high school.
Ms. Burmaster earned bachelor's and master's degrees from UW-Madison and is the recipient
of honorary doctorates from Beloit College and Edgewood College.
