Dr. Barbara Prindiville named president at
WCTC
Dr. Barbara Prindiville has been named president of the Waukesha County Technical College. "Dr. Prindiville brings to WCTC over twenty years of
administrative leadership and teaching experience within the Wisconsin Technical
College System. "We're excited that WCTC will benefit
from her considerable breadth and depth of experience in meeting workforce
development needs," said WCTC Board Chair Paul Strobel. Prindiville is currently the Chief Academic Officer/Vice
President of Instruction at Western Technical College and worked several years as the
education director for Nursing, Allied Health and Human Services in the System
Office. She's also a former dean at Blackhawk Technical College and taught Microbiology at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
"WCTC has an excellent
reputation for its student-learning centered educational environment and its
innovative programs and partnerships. I'm honored to have the opportunity to
lead the college and continue to build even stronger links within the Waukesha County community," said Prindiville.
The Prindiville selection was announced July 17. She will be the fifth president in the
college’s 84-year history and assumes her duties on August
14.
